What is the best way of getting from Lagos to Porto. We are staying in Lagos for 2 days to look around and see the Benagil Caves so any other suggestions of places too see while there would be greatly appreciated.
We also need to best option from Seville to Lagos as well. If this all becomes too hard we might just skip this and go direct from Seville to Porto.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Looks like about a 7 hour train trip from Lagos to Porto. Simplest way from Seville to Lagos is via ALSA bus line. Check your options on RometoRio.com.
Unless you are going to hire a car, it's a bus from Seville to Faro, then catch a train (very infrequent service) to Lagos.
Lagos to Porto is a full day's journey via bus or train. I would seriously think about how far off route Lagos is for the little time you will have to spend there.
There is no need to use both bus and train from Seville to Lagos. We traveled this route by direct bus, albeit with stops, in late May. It was easy and reasonably priced. You don't say when you are traveling, but Alsa bus has 3 departures per day for a a date in August. As for places to see, we enjoyed visiting Sagres Fort and the so-called "end of the earth." Have a great trip.
We did Lagos to Porto, but we spent 3 nights in Lisbon on the way.
Bus from Lagos to Lisbon - it was a little faster and the bus station in Lagos was walking distance from the condo we have rented.
Alfa Pendular high-speed train from Lisbon to Porto. It was wonderful.
