The Portugal book says Seniors get in free at most museums, etc. In the past, we have found that true for residents only. Has anyone gotten senior discounts in Lisbon or other cities? Thanks, Ana

My traveling companion did receive senior discounts on the train when we went in 2015, however, I don’t recall if he did at museums.

I’m a resident and have never gotten in free at museums. There are pretty consistent discounts, though. It’s usually €2-3. The good news is that museums and other attractions are low priced in Portugal compared to other European countries. And, as the other poster commented, there are senior discounts on the trains. But, not for commuter trains, metro, etc. if you are not a resident.
