Seeking comment on Itinerary Spain and Portugal

We will be traveling to Spain starting April 3, 2020 and ending April 10. This will be our second trip. Previously we went to Madrid, Malaga, Estepona, Ronda, Marbella and Granada as well as Tangiers. This time we fly directly into Seville, it will be the week before the Semana Santa (would love to experience this but the anticipated crowds and our limited time won't permit). We plan to stay a full day and a half in Seville, then drive to the Algarve area in Portugal. A full day and a half there, then on to Cordoba for one full day. After that we drive to Estpona where we have our timeshare and where we will spend the next three days, perhaps with day trips to Granada, Ronda, Jerez or Arcos.

My main question is, does a day and a half suffice for a visit to some of the Algarve's beaches? My wife is a real beach person and she is anxious to visit a few. We can drop Cordoba from the itinerary if we have to.

Ideas? Comments?
Thanks so much!

Don’t drop Córdoba! And Sevilla needs more than a day and a half. Do not know above beaches but a long way for a day and a half.

Early April in the Algarve isn't exactly beach weather (understatement), so while you could spend a pleasant 1.5 day in Tavira (don't go further west, it will get far), I'm not sure this should be a priority...

If you're after beaches, I'd go to Bolonia/Baelo Claudia from Estepona. Beautiful beach + Roman ruins, all in one spot: what's not to like? There's also a great beach at Trafalgar further west. You can then keep Cordoba (rather as a day trip from Seville, easier logistics), and add some time to Seville and/or Estepona. So, you'd only stay in Seville and Estepona.

My first thought was "Too much beach, not enough Seville and Cordoba". I don't go to Europe for the beaches, so that's a serious bias that calls into question the usefulness of my opinion. However, Seville and Cordoba are great places with much to see. They are in no way comparable to Ronda or Arcos. (I haven't been to Jerez.)

I believe you are counting on more time at your various destinations than you'll actually have due to including your travel time. April 3 to April 10 is only 7 days in total, and won't you be jetlagged on April 3? You're planning to travel from Seville to the Algarve, then back to Cordoba, then to Estepona. Then at the end of the trip you must get to your departure airport (Malaga?). That sounds like about 2 days will be lost to all the traveling around, leaving only 5 days of actual vacation spread across 4 locations--and that's assuming you don't take any of the side-trips you're contemplating.

Thanks to all for the input! After dealing with Iberia for several hours yesterday I messed up our departure date on this post. We leave the US on 3/31, arrive 4/1 in Seville. So we have two more days than I originally posted.

Yes, a lot of travel but we were originally going to spend the week in Portugal and the beaches of Algarve are high on our list and are about 2-3 hours from Seville. I am trying to preserve "some" of that while focusing mainly on southern Spain. I only wish we had more time but my wife is a school teacher and this is already straining her available time off during the Easter break. This will not be our last trip to Spain and the next will include Barcelona, more of Madrid and the nearby towns Toledo, Segovia, etc.

With 2 extra days, you can more easily spend a few days in the Algarve if you só desire. Do manage your beachtime expectations, as I mentioned earlier.
