Schist village recommendation?

Looking for a base to spend a couple nights to get the best village experience. Any recommendations?
Also thoughts on Lousa or Piadao as a base?

Lousâ is my choice,not too small not too big as small towns go, restaurants and hotels available, to visit the area a car is a must.
