RS Portugal Tour during Holy Week “Good or Bad”

Thinking about picking the Portugal Tour starting on the 18th or 20th of March. Should we be concerned about large crowds or any travel issues traveling including to Lisbon and out of Porto?

I think being there during Holy Week would enhance the trip. If Portugal is like Spain, there are many special events you wouldn’t get to see any other time of year. Any travel issues would be RS’ problem to deal with.

With visits to 3 cathedral/cloisters and Fátima, I found the Portugal tour to be pretty heavy on religious sites even outside of holy week. Whether that's a plus or not is up to you.

Easter in 2024 is 31 March. So, the dates you mention would be fine. Easter is much more crowded as a lot of Spanish and other European people come here for the Easter school break. And, Portugal is very different than Spain when it comes to Semana Santa (Holy Week). There are a few celebrations but not nearly to the extent as Spain.
