RS Lisbon walks

On this forum I see that many people LOVE Lisbon. Cities are not really our favorite thing. Just want to get a taste, don't feel a need to immerse. We will spend one day in Belem. Of Rick's 3 walks which is your recommendation, in order of preference, for a second day? And what are your favorite sites? I know answers will be subjective. Thanks
PS we are also spending a day and night in Sintra.

I would do Sintra as a day trip. It's easy. And I would rather have that night in Lisbon.

My favorite was the Bairro Alta but if you don’t want to do all three, start with the Baixa stroll which ends where the Bairro Alto begins. Then continue. Combine the two walks. They don’t take much time and you’ll get a great feel for the city.

This is not exactly a walk and may sound a little weird, but we loved going underground to the Metro and riding all the lines. We didn't get out at most stops, just passed through. Whatever for? Because Lisbon is a city of tile, all stops are tiled and all are different.

We did that connected with a trip to the Expo '98 grounds. By the way, if you are seeking a department or grocery store, look underground.

We also went by bus to the tile museum. This is the link to the Museo Nacional do Azulejo.

I can't imagine going to Belém without going to Pastéis de Belém. Don't be fooled by the small entrance and people lined up outside. The place is enormous inside and has more to eat than pastéis. Click on the link to explore.

And I can't imagine going to Portugal without attending a Fado performance. We saw 2 in our week in Lisbon. One was in a rather large restaurant downtown and seemed more touristy. We preferred Sr. Fado de Alfama about 2 blocks from our apartment.

Definitely do Rick's Lisbon City Walk as it gives you a great overview and will get you acclimated. If you are in Belem take the ferry to Porto Brandao and have lunch at the Restaurant Porto Brandao.

In the Belem district would recommend Enoteca de Belem. Make reservations as the restaurant has roughly 25-30 seats but it is so worth it!
