River cruise and food tour

I have Two teens 13 and 16.
We will be in Porto next week. June 28 th
We are looking for a 1 hour ish cruise.
Do I need to make reservations ahead of time or could I just make a reservation online the same day? I’m just thinking about the weather.
Is there a recomended cruise?
What website should I buy tickets on?

Food tour with teens?
Any recomendations?
Could I just make reservations on line the day off? Again, just thinking about the weather.
What’s an official website. I’m worried about scammers or secondary websites.

We are thinking about biking to the beach. Do I need reservations? Any recomended biking rentals.

I’ll be there 3 full days. Any other reservations I should make?

Thanks in advance.

Hi!

1 hour cruise: it's the 6 bridges cruise, they are all the same, you can even just go by the river and buy the tickets (on both sides of the river, Porto or Gaia). If you want to book you can use Viator, Civitatis, etc.

Food tour: www.tasteporto.com . They are the oldest and the best.

Biking: very good idea! Both sides of the river are flat by the river and the ocean. On Gaia side you can visit the (stilla litle bit) typical village Afurada and the natural reserve, on Porto side you can go all the way untill Matosinhos, big and nice beach. Both places very good for fresh fish. There are lot's of places to rent a bike, here are two examples:

  • Ciclo ebikes, on Gaia side
  • Vieguini on Porto side

I believe you should visit one of the cellars, just to understand a litle bit the concept of Port wine - and this you need to book ahead. But if you don't, just visit the roof top bar of Porto Cruz, they of course serve non-alcoholic drinks too. All the Port wine lodges are on the Gaia side of the river.

Porto has a Timeout market, right on the right side of São Bento train station. Opened recently. It has good offer of food.

Hope you enjoy your time in Porto.
