Later in May I will be traveling with friends in Portugal. One stop is in Mértola. By chance, that day will be my friends’ 50th anniversary. (Coincidentally, that day is also my birthday.) I want to plan a special evening out and so am looking for a place for a fitting evening meal. Has anybody any thoughts on a special restaurant in Mértola for such an occasion? We won’t have a car and thus it has to be within walking distance in the town center. Am willing to splurge (!) if the place is special. Any thoughts or advice would be really appreciated.
