I was wondering if anyone has stayed at this hotel recently? What did you think of it?
Some say it is noisy. It looks centrally located, but I am having a hard time knowing what is and isn't centrally located. Hoping to stay in the $200-225 range. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!
Haven't stayed at that hotel but have been to concerts at the venue directly across the street from the hotel - perhaps that's why some consider it noisy.
Have a look at the event dates for the concert venue to see if they have any during your stay.

The street itself is pedestrian only, with restaurants that cater mostly to tourists, some have the waiters outside with menus to entice the tourists.
Some pickpockets work the area when it's busy with tourists or concerts.
I've also been offered fake drugs in that street when attending a show ( a friend, undercover cop stop him and examined the stuff, some weird mixture but not real drugs).
Location is ok otherwise,
Thank you for your reply and the heads up. I will certainly look into the concert schedule. If anyone has other hotel recommendations in that area, I would welcome any input.
We just got back from a four day stay at the Florescente and the staff were wonderful. The rooms were clean, housekeeping was impeccable and we were on the back of the hotel so didn't hear most of the noise. There is a delightful pool (very small) around which to lounge and enjoy a spritz after a day of sightseeing. It's true that you are accosted by restaurant workers but that happened in other parts of the city too - part of the tourist game. We found the location to be very convenient and I would recommend the hotel to anyone.
Thank you for your reply, Montreal Traveler!
Does the hotel have an elevator?
What did you think of the neighborhood it is in? Thanks.
Kathy
I've stayed at the hotel twice, during separate trips to Lisbon 2018 and 2019. Both times I had a room facing the street and the venue on the other side- yes noisy when an event was happening. Not sure how much quieter the other side would be. Yes it has an elevator. Memorable for the sign outside the elevator door to not use it if there is an earthquake!
The rooms are simple and clean.

ETA: I wonder if the rooms held for booking through booking sites tend to be the less desirable rooms. Just wondering because both times I booked through aggregrator sites and had street facing room.
ETA: I don't know if the restaurant is still in operation and don't remember the name after so many years. It's mentioned in the RS Portugal book, just up the street from this hotel- the street name changes, about a block north of the hotel. The restaurant is on the opposite side of the street and down a few steps. Small with tightly spaced tables. The bill was hand written on a scrap of paper, this was mentioned in the guidebook. I had a good simple meal and a nice conversation with another customer.
