Hello. We'll be entering Italy in couple of days. We'll drive from Italy to Austria, and then from Austria to Germany. Then, we'll fly from Germany to Lisbon, and back to the United States from there.
Are there going to be any extra requirements, such as biometric scanning? We have passports, state drivers' licenses, and international driving permits from AAA. Will we need any other identification?

Anything else would just be a face scan and fingerprints. Nothing you need to prepare for.
Are you aware of the expensive drop off fees when you pick up in one country and drop in another?
