Hi all,
Next year is my 75th birthday so I get to pick where we go in October.
I have chosen.......Portugal! (again)
Having explored Lisbon thoroughly, I want to expand my experience inland. The plan is few days in Lisbon (including Cascais :) ) , and then Evora and thence to Monsaraz. Rather than drive all the way, I propose taking the train to Evora and picking up a car there for my further Westward exploration.
I am not a big fan of driving in foreign countries and try to keep it to the minimum. But there are places only accessible by car, so I make exceptions.
(i.e. in March we are going to England for my wife's birthday and to explore the Lake District we will take the train from London to Kendal and rent a car there.)
This query is mostly for people who have been to Evora and Monsaraz. Does this hedge make sense?
