Susan there are two good rental car companies in Lagos I can recommend. You can try AutoEurope rental car service in Lagos. They have many locations throughout the city and the rates are very good; and Luz car service is near the train station in Lagos so it might be convenient for you when you arrive in Lagos to obtain the rental.

I highly recommend Avis. Fernando is VERY personable and professional. We've rented there twice already and plan to again.
