Rental Car advice for Lisbon, Portugal

I would ONLY book a rental for days I am NOT in Lisbon. Uber is cheap and plentiful, the metro system works too, for anyplace that is not walkable. The traffic and parking hassle in Lisbon make having a car in the city a real pain.

I live in Portugal and have a car at home. But when we go to Lisbon, we take the train into town unless we need a car for a specific purpose (usually just picking up or dropping a visitor at the airport).

We only plan to rent the car when leaving Lisbon, driving to other cities; will pick up and return to airport terminal. Thanks, all, for the advice.
