Recommended Hotels in Lisbon Near Waterfront

My wife and I are planning a 6 week trip to Portugal in March 18, 2023. Wanted to start by exploring Lisbon for the 1st 3 days. Looking for opinions on nice hotel under $200. a night (cdn) or $130.euro roughly. So many options it's overwhelming. Friends of ours have recommended the Hotel Mundial but it's a bit over what I was looking to pay a night. Any recommendations for 2 seniors 70+ but also avid walkers.
Thanks Pat

I recently stayed at the Pousada de Lisboa. Right on the Praca do Comercio. Great location. Waterfront was across the Praca. Literally, about a three minute walk. Very picturesque. Very comfortable. Rather large rooms, modern decor within a very historic building. Outstanding service. And of course the Praca has numerous eateries and drinking spots. Convenient to the central Lisbon sites. The metro (subway) is within an easy walk.

Hotel’s restaurant, Rib Beef & Wine, was excellent. As the name suggests, a beef house. A most enjoyable meal. A very good good breakfast buffet (included in the room rate).

Hotel was upscale, a bit pricy, but not at all outrageous compared to comparable locales. I have no hesitation is recommending you consider the Pousada if you want to be near the waterfront.

We've stayed five times at The Emporium Suites. Large rooms with kitchenettes. Great loaction on the waterfront in the Baixa area.
Most rooms have river views. The windows are double glazed so street noise is not an issue.

It's well priced, though when I enquired for our next trip I noted prices had increased somewhat.

I book direct with owners, or you can book on booking.com.
