Recommendations for Hotel and restaurants in Cascais

My husband and I will be in Lisbon Portugal in February for a short 5 day trip. Looking to visit the seaside town of Cascais for 2 nights on our trip. Once we land in Lisbon we are thinking that we should probably go straight to Cascais for our first 2 maybe 3 nights and then return to Lisbon for the last couple nights. First time visiting both Lisbon and Cascais.

Would appreciate any recommendations on Hotels and restaurants suggestions in both places. But mostly for Cascais. Thank you

Hotel Baía is my choice in Cascais.
Located in front of Cascais beach with restaurants all around.
The citadel, the park, train and bus station are within a 15 minute walk.

My hotel recommendations depend on your budget. If money isn’t a factor, take a look at the Albatroz. It’s in an old mansion with a lot of original tile and is lovely. The location is right downtown with easy access to train station, the paredão and many restaurants. And it has a great view of the water.
I also like the previous recommendation of the Baia. It’s also in downtown and right on the water in the main area of the town. It’s more reasonably priced. Just don’t eat lunch or dinner there as there are many better options.
If you like a bed and breakfast type place, The Pergola is lovely. It doesn’t have a water view, though. But does have a lovely garden and great location.
For restaurants, you are spoiled for choice. Use the reviews on Google Maps, which I find the most accurate. Stay away from the area (behind the Baia) where there are lots of tables in a square. Those are mediocre at best. It really depends on what type food you want and how much you want to pay. If the weather is nice, make the trip out to Casa da Guia. The views are wonderful and the food is pretty good. But, I mainly go for the views. If you have a specific type food you want, I’m happy to give you my opinions. If you are here on Wednesday, Saturday or to a lesser extent Sunday (smaller market), visit the Mercado in the late morning. It’s a great experience and where a lot of us locals buy our produce and fish every week.
BTW - if you luck out with good weather, Cascais is wonderful in the winter.

I am actually looking at both the Hotel Albatroz and Hotel Baia.

We love seafood, all cuisines styles and don't have any food restrictions. We love fresh, quality over mediocre everyday American style foods that we can get at home ( BBQ, burgers, subs are not what we would like ).

We love trying new cuisines and eating like the locals, where the locals eat. Upscale or homestyle doesn't matter - as long as the food is good and authentic.

Thank you so much for the information.
