Hi we are a group of 6 headed to Portugal for first time in October. We are spending first 3 days in Porto then 7 days in Cascais as a base for day trips into Lisbon and surrounding area/sites. Looking for recommendations of a local tour guide for 6 of us in Porto and Lisbon who would spend part of day with us showing us around the cities. Thanks

My wife and I have been to Portugal three or four times and in Lisbon and Porto have wandered about on our own however the best and I find the most informative is to first take a tuk-tuk tour of each city, especially the day after the plane flight to ease jet lag-gives a quick feel for the cities and where you may want to return to.
And since everyone has to eat try a tasting tour, easy way to get a meal, wine, port, etc while satisfying a need for food.
We have used Viator to search out different venues for relatively inexpensive tours. if you go for a RS guide expect to pay more.
