When I was searching the forum a few months ago for quinta stay recommendations, I came across several great comments about Casa do Romezal, a few minutes drive from Regua. So now I must return the favor from prior travelers, and tell others that you must stay there! The inn is run by lovely Margarida, and it's right next to the Gueda quinta run by her brother Luis. They're both so charming, friendly and genuine. The accommodations are lovely and comfortable, and Margarida provides a very yummy breakfast with lots of options. The best part of the visit was learning about their family history, and what they've done to transform the home and vineyard. The stay was very reasonably priced, as was Luis' wine tasting (with a cheese/meat board) and vineyard tour. They go the extra mile in everything they do. Tremendous folks!
