Has anyone been to Quinta Marrocos in the Douro River Valley. If so, would you recommend this place?
We stayed one night in November 2018. It's a good location right on the river. We took a winery tour without the tasting since we are non-alcoholic. It ended up being private because of that. It was very interesting to learn about Port making. You can reserve a meal with wine on the property which other guests told us was great. We enjoyed a chat in the parlor with the family patriarch who recommended a restaurant in Peso da Regua for us since we didn't reserve the dinner.
A nice breakfast was included. The room was small but charming and the historic property was very interesting. I would recommend.
