Will be in Porto the end of November. Would like to stay a night or two at a Quinta in Duoro Valley on our way south towards Lisbon, but will be taking public transportation. Is it possible to get to the Quintas with just public transportation?

If you stay in a Quinta close to Régua or Pinhao, there are taxis available. I’ve stayed at Quinta de la Rosa twice and just used taxis. Worked well.
As the above poster noted, Quinta De La Rosa is easily accessible from the Pinhao Train Station. It's approximately a 15-minute walk or seven euro taxi ride. We stayed there recently, using only the train, and found it convenient and enjoyable.
