questions about Lisbon-Porto high speed train

I plan to take the AP train from Lisbon to Porto and back. I’ll be going to Porto around 10 AM at the end of May. I heard that forward facing seats on the left side have better views. Is this correct?
Is it worth paying extra for a business class seat?
Which carriage do you recommend?
Which carriage is the cafe in? Is cafe food good or should I bring my own lunch?
Thank you!

"High speed" is a relative term.
Views were not memorable.
I thought the regular seats were fine.
Business class looked... more expensive.
If you want to be the first to arrive at the station, you can always sit in the front carriage.
Cafe was a stand-up bar with basic sandwiches, snacks and drinks.

we and our friends made a picnic out our trip with wine, cheese bread, and ham; can't remember if we rode first or second class, but we had a delight-full trip.

As others said, that train from Lisbon to Porto is not exactly a tourist highlight, just transportation. Been about two years since we took it and honestly I don't remember anything memorable about the ride. We actually enjoyed Porto better than Lisbon, not that it's less crowded, just has a more down-to-earth vibe. Didn't hurt that our spacious (1615 sf) apartment was perfectly located, about as luxurious as we've ever had, and only cost $182 per night. Needless to say, Porto is on our list to return and I suspect it will rank that way for you as well. Hope you enjoy!~
