Hi all, planning a trip to Lisbon for a week in January (have to use some vacation hours) and am torn between the Memmo Prinicpe Real Hotel and the Art Legacy Hotel in the Baixa area. Both look amazing, with the Art Legacy more centrally located for touring and in a flatter area. Just thought I'd put this out there and see if anyone has any experience staying at either. The Memmo has a pool, but this obviously won't be needed in January. Thanks for your assistance!

Hi Dean. If you mainly want to hang out at the hotel, the Alfama area is fine and would have nice views. Otherwise, the Baixa area is much more convenient for access to the rest of the city.

The Art Legacy Hotel would be my choice. It is in a wonderful walkable area and near the waterfront and the Praca do Comercio. There are great restaurants nearby and flat pedestrian streets with interesting shops.
