We love Joao E. at Tours by Locals. Many friends have used him also. We've got him booked for 2027 also. Know that there are many Joao, be sure to book Joao E.

We hired what I thought was a private tour guide to pick us up in Lisbon and guide us at a few of the Sintra sites. It turned out he was a knowledgeable driver. I would recommend clarifying this. It is hard for someone to park in Sintra so in some ways it made sense that he would have trouble parking and touring us.
