Potential Itinerary using only train and public transportation

First trip to Portugal and I'm considering this itinerary:
Fly into Porto
Stay 2 nights in Porto
Take train to Pinhao and stay 1 night in Pinhao - IS this a good stop with hotels near trains or taxi's available? Worth an overnight?
Take train to end of line (for sightseeing) and then go back to Porto
Stay 1 night in Porto
Take train to Lisbon
Stay 3-4 nights in Lisbon
1 day trip to Cascais
1 day trip to Sintra
Fly out of Lisbon

For those of you more familiar with Portugal travel, is this feasible? I am open to suggestions or alternate locations that can be reached via train. Going in late September or October. I know Algarve is nice for beaches, but not sure we can fit that in.
Thanks so much for the help!

It is feasible with public transport. Pinhão is nice for an overnight and there are wineries close to town you can tour with taxies available. You likely need to reserve accommodations in Pinhão soon, as they are limited.

With only 3-4 nights in Lisbon, you likely won’t have time for two day trips, especially if you also want to see Belem - which you should.

There are beaches outside of Sintra and Cascais, if you want a beach visit.
