Post Offices in Portugal?

Hi Wayner again,
I KNOW they have post offices in Portugal. We have been here a week and are still looking. We are looking for CTT in red letters. Anyone know what we should look for? We will need to find them to possibly pay toll road fees (not to bring up a sore point, but if our chip and pin doesn't work at the toll roads...we pay at Post Offices).

You are looking for the right logo. I have come across post offices in most decent sized towns and they tend to be in secondary retail pitches. They are not in smaller villages. They are also called correios.

Which town are you looking in?

These resources have worked for me:

  • Search on Google maps for the term in either English or the local language.
  • Ask staff at your hotel or the Tourist Info office.
  • At least one location is usually marked on maps or described in text for towns covered in Rick's (and other) guidebooks.
  • Possibly also see www.ctt.pt, but I don't see an English option there.
