Portuguese bed linens

Does anyone have recommendations for good shops to buy Portuguese bed linens along the Rick Steves tour route? I'm especially interested in flannel sheets, as well as stores that offer easy shipping services. Thanks!

Paris em Lisboa is a lovely store in the Chiado neighborhood of Lisbon. I’m not certain about flannel, though. Be aware that European fitted sheets likely won’t fit an American size bed. And, there are more mattress sizes than in the US. Be certain to take accurate measurements before buying fitted ones. The top sheets work well, though. And, I like the fact they are several inches longer than American sheets.

You might check the department store in Lisbon, El Corte Ingles. I stopped here on my RS tour. It is huge and has a very large linen department.

Thanks to each of you two for the tips. I hadn't thought about actual mattress size beyond "Queen."

Why sheets in Portugal? Are they better quality, or beautiful, special. Please share.

When we moved to the US, none of our French sheets fit our queen -sized bed. Moving back to France, I brought the towels but not the US sheets and bought locally.

I think the closest to queen size is 180 cm. X 200 cm. You can measure your bed and convert inches to centimeters. I brought a couple of double size sheet sets with me when I moved. They didn’t work at all. It’s possible Queen might be different.

Most of the flannel sheets sold n the USby Vermont Country Store are made in Portugal. I don't see it in the current catalog, but we and our guests love sheet blankets we bought there last November.

My mother gave me a set of Portuguese flannel sheets years ago and I was struck by their thickness, resistance to pilling, color retention, and overall longevity. The Vermont Country Store sheets are a good option, but since I'll be in Portugal this summer I thought they would make a great souvenir.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I remember seeing a lot of sheets in Nazare when we were there, it is a number of years though, and I don't remember if they had any flannel
