Portugal weather experiences in early September

We're thinking of signing up for the RS tour of Portugal in early September. I can see some weather information here weather in Lisbon . I'm not sure what to make of the humidity which looks like it could be highly variable and maybe uncomfortable. Being from California we are not all that familiar with humidity and just looking at the temperatures it looks fine.

Any experiences to relate?

September 9-21, 2018 was wonderful. Low 80s in Lisbon, Fatima, Porto, dropped in the evening, needed a light jacket. The highest temp I recalled was 84 no rain, plenty of sunshine.

I have never found Portugal to be too humid. September should be warm but not too hot and inland could be slightly warmer.

Thanks for the responses everyone.

Davebarnes, that was actually my post on the ER site. I almost never post to multiple forums. You caught me. :)

September is usually warm but, compared to now, not all that humid. But, as in lots of places, the climate is changing. September is really still summer - with large numbers of tourists to go with it! Plan on mid 80’s most days, and be aware of a pretty large temperature difference between sun and shade.

And, the Alentejo area will likely still be quite hot - if you go to that area.

Les,

My last visit to Portugal was late August / early September and the weather was great - very hot and I didn't notice much humidity in either Lisbon or Portugal. As you're from California, you'll probably manage fine with the heat.
