Easy way to get from Sintra to Tunes in Portugal. Train or bus? or should we plan on going straight to Lagos. We are trying to get to Salema
There are 5 train options per day, all with a connection in Lisbon; see https://www.cp.pt/passageiros/en. Bus schedules would probably be similar, not direct.
Thanks Laura!
The trains from Lisbon to Lagos all require a change in Tunes. However, it is very easy as there is only one train track and many other people will be doing the same thing. There is maybe a 10 minute wait for the local train to arrive.
Also, if you haven’t booked accommodation, you might consider staying Lagos over Salema. RS loves Salema but I’m not sure why. There are many more things to do, see, places to stay and restaurants in Lagos.
Take the train. I too would recommend Lagos over Salema, which has been ruined by overdevelopment.
Salema has very limited bus services and you really need a car if staying there.
