Portugal Train strikes? backup plans?

I was planning on traveling on a few trains during my stay in the beginning of JULY.
from Porto to Lisbon
Lisbon to Albufeira,
Lagos back to Lisbon.

Does anybody know how long the strike is expected to last?
Is there a way to check if these specific lines are impacted by the strike?

Best options for a backup plan? I think they may be too far for an UBER or BOLT ride. i would rather not take a bus but Any bus services people recommend?

At this point, the strikes are for the month of June only. However, this has been going on for a few months now and they seem to renew the strikes at the beginning of each month. Good to have a backup plan. The train website if cp.pt. The do post which trains will run for the month. If you don’t see the train you want listed, the train will run. ‘Greve’ means strike.

It is definitely too far to Bolt or Uber. I took the bus from Cascais to Porto last summer and was pleasantly surprised. The same bus stopped at Lisbon Oriente and I will take the bus for the trip again the in future. The buses were new, clean, had bathrooms and were very inexpensive. The two main bus companies are Gypsyy and Flixbus.

Thank you for the link. None of my stations are specifically listed on the strike list, but would you know if those are the entire lines that are on strike?
For example, one of my tickets is for Porto Campanha - Lisboa Santa Apolonia,
however the strike listed is Porto Campanha - Faro

I would guess my destination is on the way to Faro so it would be included in the strike.

My others are (these are not listed on the strike list, can somebody help be confirm)
Lisboa Sete - Rios TO Albufeira
Lagos TO Lisboa -Sete Rios

Looking at the chart on that link only says up to 22 June are currently listed, with the specific trains cancelled listed. The Porto- Faro trains which are cancelled are the two return through services daily, and then only from 9 to 12 June.
But those are the only Porto-Lisboa trains which I see as cancelled. All others, to Lisboa only are thus running.
So you need to keep checking that page closer to the date of travel.

We just returned from Portugal yesterday. We didn’t experience a train strike but we did experience many cancelled trains. Three trains were cancelled from Sintra to Lisbon in the afternoon we were traveling. The train from Braga to Porto was also cancelled which meant a long wait since it only runs once an hour on Sunday. I would recommend playing it safe and taking the train a little earlier than you need to. There was never any explanation on why any of them were cancelled just “Suprimir” on the board. It could be that the short local routes are affected more than the longer routes.

Those cancelled trains were part of the strike. For some reason, they strike on certain trains on certain days. It’s been a real pain and is now going to continue until 6 August!

Could anyone advice whether these strikes may spill into the month of October? My companion and I plan to travel to Lisbon then Porto in the first 2 weeks of October 2023.

Zero way to determine if they will still be going on in October. They announce them one month at a time.
