Hello All,
First time posting here, glad to join the community!
My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Portugal before heading to Seville, Spain, in February 2026. For context, her parents will be spending the month in Seville, and we’ll be meeting them there. We’ve visited Seville quite a few times (it’s our favorite Spanish city), so we don’t need to spend too much time there, probably about 3 days. That leaves us around 4 days to explore Portugal.
Since we’ve already been to a lot of Spain’s major cities (Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona, and several towns around Seville), we’re really focused on making the most of Portugal. I’d love to hear your thoughts and recommendations:
Would it make sense to spend a few days in Lisbon and nearby towns, then fly to Seville?
Or should we drive, maybe spend some time in Lisbon, then head south through the Algarve or stop in Évora before continuing to Seville?
Has anyone done a similar trip? Any must-see spots or favorite stops along the way?
Thanks so much in advance for your help. Happy to answer any questions!
