Ok I see that Portugal has lifted their testing requirements for vaccinated incoming travelers, great. But what about hotels and restaurants, would we need to get tested every few days while in country traveling around by train? Also, what are the current US testing requirements for coming back into the USA?
From what I understand, Portugal does not recognize the CDC card since we do not have a reciprocal agreement with them. So you would need to test to enter the country

However, they will be dropping the testing/certificate requirements for hotels, restaurants, etc.

Right now, still need to test to return to USA :(
The news after a meeting on Wednesday is that the testing for restaurants, hotels, bars, etc. will be dropped “soon”. But as of now, soon hasn’t been announced.
You will still need to test coming into the country. Your airlines should provide you with a link for the most recent information about what kind of test and how long before your flight. At the moment, going back to the States, an antigen test is required within 24 hours of your flight.
A good resource is Safe Communities Portugal. It’s a site a lot of residents use for up to date info.
