I’d like to know why this area is not included in Rick’s book on Portugal. On page 182, it states this section is the worst of Algarve but it doesn’t explain why that is. From the little research I’ve done so far, this area looks beautiful. Thank you!

We like beaches as part of our vacation. A couple of beach days breaks up all that hard sightseeing. We stayed in a condo at Praia de Centianes in mid September. The trail started right outside the condo. Quiet beach. A few restaurants. Easy to get to Carvoeiro for more restaurant options. We really enjoyed it. I don’t know that I would have done that while the kids were still on summer break. This past year we stayed at Burgau on the other side of Lagos and felt a similar relaxed vibe.
