Portugal: possible strike at Lisbon airport

I’ll be flying into Lisbon on Sunday, May 21, 2023. I’ve been reading about a possible strike at the airport. I’m not sure if this is with customs. I’m not checking any luggage. Hoping this may help. First time there and I’m with a Rick Steve’s tour. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you. Theresa

Local papers say border guards will strike that weekend. I assume these people are those who work customs and reviews incoming passengers and passports.

Local media states that the government will reinforce with additional resources at airports during strike. What ever that means I don’t know. I believe you and I may be on same tour and maybe I will see in line waiting at passport control. Lol.

Theresa, looks like we’re on the same tour. I’ve been in England for a week and am flying to Lisbon tomorrow. See you soon!

I flew from London Heathrow to Lisbon today. I cleared immigration via the electronic gates in about 10 minutes, and that’s with only 3 of the 8 gates working. Perhaps the strikes will have a smaller impact on those using egates?
