Hello all- My husband and I are deciding between Portugal (Lisbon & Porto) or Nice, France (and surrounding areas) for August, 2026 for 8 day trip.
If you had to decide between the two at this time of year, which would you pick? Thank you.

If it were my choice, I'd pick Portugal. Lisbon and Porto give you two very different cities, great food, beautiful scenery, and it's usually a bit more affordable than the French Riviera. August is busy everywhere, but you can also escape the cities easily for day trips to places like Sintra, the Douro Valley, or the Atlantic coast.
Nice is lovely, but for an 8-day trip I'd personally find Portugal more varied and relaxed.
