We are planning a trip to Portugal for 8 days in June. We want to spend our time in Lisbon and Algarve, and maybe add a day or two in Sintra. (if recommended) How would you recommend we divide our time?

I have been to Lisbon and Sintra, but not to the Algarve.
What do you like to see and do? Is it important to you to see all the sites and have time for leisurely wandering? The reason I ask is that we spent 5 nights in Lisbon last April, and this included a day trip to Sintra. It would have been nice to spend a night in Sintra, but this was at the end of a 3-week trip, and at that point, we didn't feel like moving around too much, so decided to stay put in Lisbon. So I suggest either 5 nights in Lisbon, to include a day trip to Sintra, or 4 nights in Lisbon and 1 night in Sintra. I wouldn't want less than 4 nights in Lisbon.
I don't know if 3 nights is enough for the Algarve. it might be. But how long will it take you to travel from Lisbon to the Algarve?
