Portugal-Itinerary for 4 days outside of Lisbon

My husband and I will be traveling to Lisbon in June. We have four days before needing to be back in Lisbon to meet the rest of our family. We were planning on renting a car and heading North to Porto, Douro, etc. After reading posts I am thinking that we head straight to Porto for a day or two, then tour the Douro Valley (we are big wine collectors), finishing in Coimbra for at least one overnight. The choice was to head North or South and I think South only really provides beach villages. Is Evora worth changing my inclination? Is Nazare a must do? Again we will have 4-5 days before returning to Lisbon.
Thanks

Nazare is a must don't! Far too overrated and lacking in character compared to other areas.

Porto is worth spending at least a full day and you can take a boat trip on the river and explore the port houses. Take a trip to the Douro for 1-2 days.

Evora is interesting, but off route. Instead, explore Coimbra, Obidos, Tomar and Fatima, all of which have plenty of tradition and history.

I agree that Nazaré is overrated. If you are big wine collectors, you might want to spend a little more time in the Douro. You çan stay in some of the Quinta's and the scenery is amazing. If you look at the site 'Wine Tourism in Portugal', there is a vast amount of information, places you can stay, etc. There is really much more to do than 4 days will cover!

Thanks to all...I revised my itinerary to two nights in Porto and then through the Douro Valley and Central Portugal for the other two nights.

Appreciate the feedback
