Portugal for 11 days with 15-20 years olds. Where do we go?

Hi! We are going to Portugal the first of August. We have 3 teen children and would like to stay in places. Where do you recommend?
Do we have time to go to Madeira?
Hotel suggestions- looking for very nice, but reasonable.

Go where they surf, Ericeira or Nazare.

We will have our 16 & 20 year olds with us in mid-July for 11 full days. We looked at Madeira, but people in this forum seemed to advise that it needed 3-4 days minimum. We decided that between the (not quick) flights and all there is to do/see there, it will be a separate trip. Really wanted to squeeze it in, but realized we would only brielfy see Lisbon and Porto if we had, and even the packing would be different for Madeira.

We plan to start in Lisbon (four nights), drive to the Algarve (three nights), drop the car back off in Lisbon, then head up to Porto via train. We will try to stop one night at Coimbra on the way to Porto, and will do day trips from Lisbon (Sintra, maybe Obidos). It's a lot, but my daughter is visiting near Porto right now and knows the ropes a little, hoping that helps us. (We also have an extra two nights before Lisbon)

After a lot of research, in Lisbon we booked the My Story Rossio (lots of recommendations), and Porto we have the InPatio Guesthouse (again highly recommended). Found recommendations from fb groups, booking.com reviews, & this forum. In the Algarve, we will stay in Lagos and got an AirBnB. Saw this other place and it looked really nice, but is a little further from town: Villas D. Dinis - Charming Residence
