Any great experiences with food tours in Lisbon and Porto
April 2023 I did a Porto food tour with Taste Porto. It was a small varied group and was a great tour! It was called Vintage and Port Wine Food tour. https://tasteporto.com/
I have not used them, but Devour Tours is highly respected and has a tour in Lisbon. Might be worth checking out.
I enjoyed this food tour last spring:

In 2022, we used "Oh! My Cod" in Lisbon. Good tour and guide. Actually liked the grilled cod even though I'm not a fish eater normally. Tour included a visit to a Mozambican restaurant (Mozambique was a Portuguese colony).
This Fall I did a tour with Culinary Backstreets in Lisbon. They offer several tours, and also have a tour in Porto. I was on the Culinary Crossroads tour, which provided insight into the many cultures that have contributed to Portuguese cuisine. It was a great time, good walk, and we had an amazing amount and variety of food.
Eating Europe has them in both cities and every time I've tried their tours they've been fabulous.

Both the Devour and Eating Europe Tours in Lisbon are nice.
In October, we took the Devour Fado tour: https://devourtours.com/tours/lisbon-food-and-fado-tour/. My husband and I were the only one on the tour. Our guide, Ruth, was a native of Lisbon and Fado expert. This tour is a bit different than the normal food tour in that you have a few stops, one for a light bite another for Ginjinha from an elderly lady in her home. The main attraction was the Fado dinner. The guide left us for the dinner and we enjoyed it on our own. The food at the restaurant was amazing. The Fado included both a male and female performer. There was a lot of walking, all of it uphill.
We also took the Eating Europe Tuk Tuk food tour: https://www.eatingeurope.com/lisbon/lisbon-tuk-tuk-food-tour/. It included an hour Tuk Tuk ride, primarily through the Alfama. We then went through the Alfama down to the Baixa, tasting food along the way. Our guide was a local college student and really knew the hidden food finds. We also ate on this tour at a small restaurant which has an excellent Fado performance in the evening. This is a good introduction to Lisbon and if you were planning on taking a Tuk Tuk tour, you can combine the two together on this tour.
Does anyone know of a food (or wine) tour that operates on Sunday in Porto? Can't seem to find any. Thanks!
I was having issues finding food tours in both Porto and Lisbon. But there is a craft beer and food tasting in Porto on Sunday. So that is my choice.
We were in Lisbon last fall, and thoroughly enjoyed the Eating Europe Undiscovered Lisbon Food Tour. It may have been the best food tour we've ever taken. Highly recommend.
