We are planning to be in Portugal during Holy Week and on Liberty Day. What kind of an impact will this have on travel and how will Liberty Day effect our plans to be in Sintra that day?

Holy Week is usually busier with tourists than other weeks during the spring. For some reason, a lot of Spanish people come to Portugal that week.
Being here on 25 Abril won’t have an enormous impact, as most things will be open. However, you might want to do Sintra another day. Since it’s a holiday, the crowds will potentially be even worse than normal.
