Hi - can someone help with trying to find day cruises to book online down the Douro valley that Rick references in his Portugal book - both major sites he states ( Douro Azul and Rita do Douro) have Portuguese language only websites with no option to switch to English which seems very odd- any help is appreciated.

Viator has a number of options for the Duoro Valley. We booked one for Sept that had very good reviews.

Your browser should have an option to translate pages. For Firefox, click on the three parallel lines in the top right corner and select translate.
If you need to, Viator is an option for viewing various options for tours, but you can look for the tour company name for a tour option and try to find them through an internet search and book directly. Viator is a third party selling other peoples tours. More and more, I'm seeing that people are getting tours cancelled last minute.
A good resource for planning for Portugal is Julie Dawn Fox. Also, there are a couple facebook groups that were extremely helpful to me for planning my trip to Portugal.
