Portugal arrival testing

It looks like there is still a testing requirement in place for arriving flights from the US? I saw some earlier posts that the airport officials are not really tracking that. Has anyone landed in Portugal recently and needed to show proof of negative test? We leave Monday and have our vax cards but would rather not have to deal w/testing. Luckily we don't have to worry about that for our return now.

All of the official Portuguese government sites still state that a negative test is required for entry and our airline's site (TAP) states they may check before you board and again at customs, so better to be safe than sorry. The requirement is a test within 72 hours of boarding and they accept PCR and NAAT tests, so my wife and I went to Walgreen's yesterday (6/13...we leave 6/15 at 10pm) and got both PCR and NAAT tests done. We had the NAAT results back in 2 hours. Obviously it's a bit nerve-wracking waiting on the results, but again, better safe than sorry.

JCDigger - we have the same question as the information online is a bit confusing. Our trip is in early July. Would you mind sharing your experience once you arrive in Portugal?
thanks!!

JCDigger - Im also leaving Monday and debating the same thing. Im hearing many people say - including a friend - they are not being asked by airlines or officials at the Lisbon airport, so I am very tempted to skip the test. Ill decide by Saturday and get one Sunday

Arrived in Lisbon Sunday June 12th. Only had to upload Vax card to United. Neither United nor Portugal asked for a Covid test. I did read somewhere they were checking a random amount as it is still officially required.

I would play it safe and get the test.
