Such a friendly forum!
Four of us (all active 60+) are going to Portugal in mid March until the end of April.
Right now the plan is to spend 2 weeks in Vila Senhora Da Rocha, Vila Nossa Sra. da Rocha 101A, 8400-498 Porches, Portugal, rent a car and site see In that area. Leaving on April 1 to drive To Lisbon/Porto and fly from Lisbon to Horta, spend about 10 days touring the three islands that are all close to one another by ferry, then fly to Ponta Delgada for 5 days or so. Any suggestions on inexpensive accommodations, must sees, short hikes (2-6 km) restaurants etc gratefully accepted!

We were just on Sao Miguel and we stayed here: https://www.furnaslake.com/
It's right across from Furnas Lake, which was beautiful to walk around.

I would love to obtain information concerning the Azores as well. My boyfriend and I are considered going and are not really sure where to begin obtaining useful information.
