fernandes_lo - There are alot of 1 nighters in different towns on your itinerary. You can reduce that by staying in one central location within distance of the other towns and do day trips to visit them. Are you exclusively using public transport on your Portugal adventure?

Do 3 bases. Porto , Coimbra, and Lisbon. Take day trips from Coimbra to visit Aveiro and Fatima. Do a 1 nighter in Obidos on your way to Lisbon.

Places around Lisbon to explore are Sintra and Cascais. You can choose one of those to visit.

Here is the modify Itinerary:

April 19th - Arrived in Porto

April 20th - Porto (Douro valley day trip)

April 21st - Porto

April 22nd - Porto (Bus to Coimbra)

April 23rd - Coimbra (Day trip to Aveiro)

April 24th - Coimbra (Day trip to Fatima)

April 25th -Coimbra (Bus to Obidos)

April 26th - Obidos (Bus to Lisbon)

April 27th - Lisbon

April 28th - Lisbon (Day Trip To Sintra)

April 29th - Lisbon (Fly Home)

(Also if time permitted, while in Porto, consider a visit to the town of Guimarães. It is a charming town not very far from Porto).

To me, it seems like a lot of traveling around, constantly checking in and out of hotels, etc. It really doesn't give you much time to explore. I would add another day in Porto, at a minimum.

I like Rjeans schedule with a couple of changes. I would train from Porto to Coimbra, and I would stop at Aveiro on the way. I liked Obidos overnight once the day trippers had left. But would also say that skipping Obidos and adding that day to Lisbon would be possibly more worthwhile, particularly if you want to see Sintra.
Have a great trip. We have been twice at that time of year and really enjoyed it.

Thanks a lot everyone for your suggestions.

We will definitely consider the changes in the itinerary.
We will probably now have 3 bases as suggested and do the day trips from there.!

Thanks Cheers:)
