We are spending a weekend in Porto in September. We will have a car, but want to stay out of the city. I'm looking for suggestions for places to stay with access to public transport to get into the city center. Thanks. Richard

have you looked at the airport area? There a several hotels and excellent Metro access at the air port to the city center and beyond.

Perhaps in Matasinhos? Near the ocean, easy to get to Porto by bus, lots of great restaurants.
