We will be in Porto for several days before a river cruise, and want to visit FÁTIMA on October 13, which is a special date there. We don’t want to take a tour, just transfer back and forth on that day. Any suggestions on the best and least expensive way to get there? I know it is a couple hours away from Porto. We are staying uphill from the main part of historic Porto, on Rua do Santa Caterina. It looks like trains drop you off a bit of distance from the religious site, but there may be a local bus that brings you there?
The easiest is to take the bus, but it will be very crowded in Fátima.

Thank you. We booked the bus. I’m sure it will be very crowded, but it is a special day that we want to experience.
