Porto's Ribeira: are there any decent restaurants with a view?

Greetings!

I'm looking for a place for a nice lunch hopefully with a view of the bridge and Vila Nova de Gaia. I understand that Ribeira is a very touristy place. Just wanted to check if there are any nice restaurants in that area that I should check out?

Thank you!

We walked along the riverside until we found one we liked. I did not keep the name, sorry. It was a fun area to sit and dine.

Jimão Tapas e Vinhos at Praça da Ribeira has excellent food at reasonable prices. I was seated upstairs where there were big windows that might look out on the river, but I don't actually remember if there was a river view. I know you can see the restaurant from the promenade but it is tucked slightly off the promenade so it may not have the view. Reviews just praise the food.

Alternatively, on the Gaia side of the river, there are a number of restaurants with a view of the bridge and Porto. Taberninha do Manel on the Gaia riverfront was recommended, but it was closed the day I was there.

Thank you CD. I keep getting the same reply from many of the restaurants including Jimão Tapas e Vinhos at Praça da Ribeira. "we are too small for a group of 18". I've never had such hard time finding restaurants in any of my travels _
