Porto -> Lisbon : One-way car Rental

We are thinking of renting a car for our return journey from Porto to Lisbon (instead of taking the train), which will give us opportunity to explore additional places, specially :
Aveiro (shows 1 hr from Porto), Nazaré (1.5 hours from Aveiro), and Óbidos (45 minutes from Nazare)
Spending some time in each place and then getting into Lisbon.
I am estimating picking up car at 830am. Start our journey at 9am, planning to reach Lisbon by 830pm and drop-off the car.
Question 1 : Is this a good idea .. renting a car on this route ? I will also have to think of parking in each place with our luggage in the car.

Checking car rental option (kayak.com which led me to expedia), I found a car for $10 / day (gulp !!). Even after adding complete insurance coverage ($14), total comes to $24, which is unbelievably cheap. Pick up is from Porto airport and drop-off is at Lisbon airport.

Question 2 : Does it sound too good to be true ?

If you have rented car like this, requesting your feedback, guidance, please.

There are large free parking lots in Aveiro (by one of the canals) and Óbidos (outside the wall). Nazaré parking is a bit more complicated in that there are no lots close to the water where it’s very busy and congested. There is a free lot about a half mile from the beach, but parking at it may be better than trying to find pay parking along the street closer to the beach.

Look up parking locations before going over and bookmark them to whichever navigation app you use.

We did the reverse (Lisboa-Porto) but routed through central Portugal (Coimbra, Douro Valley) which involved multiple days and loads of lovely scenery. Never felt worried about luggage in the car as we are one-bag travelers and kept them in the boot or hatch, hidden from curious eyes. They contained only our clothing however, as passports/meds/camera kit etc were on our person at all times.

Just curious - where did you pickup car from ? LIS airport ?
and where did you drop it ? Porto airport ?

Also -- which car rental company did you use ?
