Porto day tours

I have been doing some research on my trip to Porto. I have 5 days in Porto. I thought I would spend 3 days around Porto. I am reaearching food tours, a couple of walking tours and day trips. I think I will do either Braga or Aveiro. The last day I thought about a river trip. This is wheee I am a bit confused. There are so many choices. I read somwhere that the best scenery is the part near Pinhao. Would someone be so kind to share how they travelled there? I am not a big drinker so I have left that out as it would be more about ebjoying the scenery.

We did Porto in 2018 as well as a 7 day Douro River cruise that was wonderful. That cruise had a day trip to Salamanca, Spain.
Pinhao is recommended, if you don't do the cruise, take the train, which runs right next to the river.

We loved the In Patio Guesthouse, the very best B&B ever. It's in a great location, but book early it only has five rooms.

We did a great day trip to Santiago de Compostela in Galacia, Spain that was excellent.
