Please help me with my itinerary

Hi. I’m traveling to Portugal in June with my 2 sisters and daughter. Ages- 21,29, 45 and 50. We will be flying in and out of Lisbon. We know we want to go to Sintra, Evora and a couple of beach days. We were originally thinking Lagos but we had some other recommendations- Cascais, ericeira and costa nova. We just need one beach not all. So we want to do maybe 3 nights in Lisbon with day trips, 2 in Evora and 3 at a beachy area. We like charming and historical Vs modern city. We aren’t very adventurous. We want to see a lot without feeling like we are running ragged. Please help with an itinerary. Thanks!

My suggestion is Carcavelos beach, it's the largest nicest beach off the Lisbon to Cascais train line.
Carcavelos is about 30 minutes on the train from Lisbon, so you can go there every day.

If you prefer to stay by the beach , my suggestion is Cascais. The beach is smaller but still ok.
We usually stay at Hotel Baia in front of the beach.

Thanks so much for the response. How crowded can we expect Cascais to be in early June? Also is it warm at that time of year? Thanks!

I find that Cascais is always busy in the area from the train station to the beach ( last time we were there was in February).
In the summer months it's busier but June should be ok.
The beginning to the middle of June temperatures should be in the twenties C, at the end of June temperatures go up but I still find it relatively comfortable - waterfront there's a slight cooling effect from the ocean.

You can take a walk along the waterfront from Cascais to Estoril on the purpose built walkway and cool down with a drink at Estoril beach - it starts a little behind the train station.
