Rick mentioned that Julia Pereira rents rooms above a cafe. We sent an email to reserve one and were told that a room was available. After several requests for an address and directions from the bus depot we have heard nothing. Where is the cafe with rooms located in Nazare? Would it be better just to find another place?

We have never stayed in an apartment in Nazare but usually stay at Hotel Adega Oceano. It's right on the beach, rates include a great breakfast, restaurant has great view of the sea. If you decide to stay in another place you can Adega Oceano's prices on booking.com.

The location is shown on the Nazare map on p. 205 of Rick's Portugal book. If you are a single or couple that will fit almost anywhere, then you can keep a back-up plan of finding another quarto upon arrival, which is pretty easy in most seasons.

I also stayed at the Hotel Adega Oceano. The rate couldn't be beat at 20 euros per night for a single room with what they describe as side ocean view. The breakfast was nice and a decent restaurant on the premises.

I have been looking at this place - looks great
