Hello. When hiking I use trekking poles to help with balance over uneven surfaces due to major foot surgery 16 mos ago. I know I can pack my own to bring for my Portugal excursion but the bag has to be checked under the plane and I’m worried about getting it when we connect in London (I’ve seen the pictures of piled luggage and heard horror stories of people not getting their luggage). My other option is to not bring them, carry on my suitcase for peace of mind and then buy an inexpensive pair in Lisbon. Any and all suggestions for purchasing them would be helpful. Thank you.
